Participate in one of our many rewarding volunteer projects
Three steps to a mutually rewarding experience
- First we take the time to understand each volunteer’s desires and skill sets.
- Once we understand the goal of the volunteer we present project options.
- After a project is selected we facilitate the travel process start to finish.
- We help prepare each volunteer for their venture to their selected location.
- After each venture we make sure the experience is shared with potential volunteers to help them select programs based on real-world experience.
Step 1. Prioritize your country or type of project
Volunteer projects are not guaranteed. Our international partners won’t approach a project or host family until they’ve received your application and deposit which shows your commitment to participating in the program. Therefore we can’t guarantee a specific project but we want to know the projects you are most interested in doing so we can try to place on those first.
Step 2. Create an invoice or get a customized invoice
We will send an invoice for the cost of the programs. So you’ll know what that is.
If you are a US citizen, we charge $10 for a background check Insurance, costs vary depending on your age. (For 17 – 29 years old it’s $60 per Month)
Click here to email our outbound volunteer coordinator to receive a custom invoice.
Step 3. Fill out an application
You will need a physician to sign off that you’re in good health about 6 months before your departure date.
You will also need two people to act as references, just include their email addresses on your application and we can send them an online form to fill out.
You should plan to apply about 2 to 3 months of before you want to go.
While some countries have preferred start dates. Most projects tend to be flexible on dates. Generally, we set you up to start on a Monday (or Tuesday for Ireland).

Our ERDT programs
ERDT
Educational Resource Development Trust (ERDT) is a non-profit global educational foundation incorporated in 1974 by Dr. Roger Riske. We are a nationwide organization, with headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. and supporting locations throughout the United States and worldwide.
ERDT believes that cross-cultural understanding is fundamental to developing mutual respect and tolerance between Americans and people from other countries.
SHARE!
The SHARE! Division of ERDT offers participants the opportunity to learn first-hand about other ways of life, cultures, and traditions through many different exchange programs.
ERDT/SHARE! matches approximately 700 teens annually from 30 different countries with volunteer American host families throughout the United States. and enrolls the students into the local public high schools for their semester or academic year abroad.
en Vision
ERDT/enVision through our many programs will help future global generations bridge the gap of cultural understanding, through cross cultural learning and living.
enVision organizes Sociological Research in America Programs (SRA), Volunteer Abroad Programs (inbound and outbound), Homestay/Farmstay/Ranchstay Summer Immersion Programs, and short term Language and Cultural Exchange Group Programs.
